Tuesday 25 January 2011 - 20:00
in Dutch
Beursschouwburg, A. Ortsstraat 20-28, 1000 Brussels
Alarming developments are taking place all over Europe: cameras in public spaces, databases filled with e-mail addresses, telephone conversations and fingerprints. In this surveillance society or ‘glass society’ everyone is a potential security risk. With Raf Jespers (Big Brother in Europe), Bart Jacobs (RUN), Gerrit-Jan Zwenne (lawyer), Bart de Koning (journalist), Christian van‘t Hof (Rathenau Instituut), Quirine Eijkman (NJCM) and Paul De Hert (VUB).
This is the public part of the congress ‘Computers, Privacy & Data Protection’ in collaboration with VUB and the Beursschouwburg
