Politicians and the large energy corporations want to install a small computer in our basement. Does this mean that we don't have to pass on our gas and electricity readings manually anymore? What is a smart energy meter? What are the consequences of its introduction for citizens? Will our energy bills skyrocket and will our privacy be up for grabs? A debate about smart electricity- and gas meters in relation to privacy matters. The debate is followed by the award ceremony of the prize for the best and worst privacy ideas and regulations (Big Brother Awards).
