Photo exhibition Fleur Boonman Archive

Debates

From Thursday 27 April 2006 until Saturday 3 June 2006

deBuren, Leopoldstraat 6, 1000 Brussel

These are tranquil photos, or rather, they depict moments of stillness and silence. Fleur Boonman photographs people, with a lot of discretion and a certain timidity. They are barely aware of the presence of the camera. People and time pass by and the photographer chooses her moment. The surroundings and the light are already there, all she does is choose the moment in time.

Fleur Boonman (in Neerpelt, º1976) studied Audiovisual Art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She specialised in film, video and photography and was successful in these fields. Her work has already been exhibited by institutions such as the FOAM, Amsterdam's Museum of Photography and the Stedelijk Museum in the same city, the Fabriek in Eindhoven, Galerie Fifty One in Antwerp and Analix Forever in Geneva. deBuren will exhibit a selection of her work starting on 27th April.

This exhibition was organised in collaboration with Gallery FIFTY ONE
