‘Heroes' is the central theme of the ‘Erfgoeddag 2012'. What does this theme tell us about ourselves and our society? What does it mean to put someone on a pedestal? What motivates one to do so? A critical panel with Dan Hassler-Forest (UvA) and Bruno De Wever (UGent) will take a peek behind the scenes of heroism. Additionally, Saskia de Coster will award the jury and audience prizes of the heroes competition and will recite an epic poem for the winner!
