"Ce qu'on appelle 'art' n'est plus qu'un idiotisme exprimant les caprices infantiles d'un individu qui croit ne rien devoir à personne. ... Les musées vendent leur marques comme des lessives." This bold statement about contemporary art and museums is made by the French intellectual Jean Clair. He is an author, former executive director of the Picasso Museum in Paris, curator and member of the Académie Française. In his lecture he will talk about art and commerce, about the role and power of the private sector.
