Innovation can support the creative memory of a city. The conference ‘Het creatieve geheugen’ (the creative memory) focuses on Flemish and Dutch innovation projects of public libraries and creative economy. What kind of choices regarding content and policy characterise these urban innovation projects? How do they connect to the local (and higher) needs and demands of the city development with regards to culture, education, economy and creativity?
