It is a trend in Flanders and the Netherlands: the historical comic. Can we make a graphic novel about everything? How far can we go? A discussion with, amongst others, Marc Verhaegen (former graphical artist of ‘Suske en Wiske’ and creator of a graphic novel about the Holocaust: Rebecca R.) Menno Metselaar of the ‘Anne Frank Stichting’ (involved in the recently published graphic biography of Anne Frank), historian and comic strip connoisseur Kees Ribbens (NIOD) and the famous historical cartoonist Eric Heuvel.
