deBuren

citybooks is one of deBuren’s new projects. Following their two week stay in a Dutch, Flemish or European town or city, six writers will recount their experiences there in verse or text. Their experiences will later be compiled in audio and print to form a literary portrait of a city. The first town on the list is Ostend, where among others the Austrian writer/artist Anselm Glück and the Flemish writers Jeroen Olyslaegers, Bernard Dewulf and Chris Van Camp will be working on their contributions. Moreover, the writers will be performing in various literary programmes organised by our partner, Vrijstaat O. This project falls under  “the deBuren books”.
