Brink Scholtz

150 years after the publication of Max Havelaar and 50 years after the independence of Congo, deBuren, in collaboration with the Multatuli Society, organises ‘Dear Multatuli, …’, the Year of Multatuli 2010. The South-African author Brink Scholtz will give the second Multatuli lecture. In this ‘epistolary lecture’ she asks Multatuli for advice on the current problematic with regard to interculturalism and (post)colonialism. After her lecture she will enter into a debate with Tjeerd Bijman (Metropolis).
