Dorian van der Brempt Was the director of boek.be and advisor to the Flemish Ministers of Culture Van Grembergen and Anciaux. He is a lecturer at the Design Academy in Eindhoven and until 1999 was a partner in Enthoven Associates Design Consultants. He is a government-appointed director of the Flemish Literature Fund. He studied Romanic Philology. 1986 saw publication of 'Monologues with Jan Hoet', which he edited with Marc Van Dyck (published by Kritak). |

Willem Bongers-Dek Willem Bongers-Dek is a literary scholar (Spiegel der Letteren), poet (Flarf) and literary critic (DWB). He studied Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Utrecht, where he also taught Dutch migration literature in 2009/2010. Since 2008, he lectures in The Netherlands and abroad (Sheffield, Bucharest, Jakarta, Semarang). He was editor in chief of Vooys, tijdschrift voor letteren. For deBuren he is currently working on the projects citybooks, deBurenuniverCity and the Multatuli-year. |

Sarah Faict Sarah Faict studied Communication Sciences at the University of Ghent (UGent) and took a Master in Film and Television Studies. Through several jobs and trainee programmes in the world of film and culture, both during and after her studies, she gained experience in the field. In 2008 she worked at The Agency of Arts and Heritage of the Flemish Community. |

Marianne Hommersom Marianne Hommersom studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent and obtained a MA in Film Studies and Visual Culture from the University of Antwerp. During and after her studies she's worked for a variety of cultural institutes as a photographer and intern. Marianne has also worked on a temporary basis for M HKA, museum of contemporary art in Antwerp and Cinema Zuid, the Antwerp film museum. |

Debbie Marbus The Dutch Debbie Marbus lives in Brussels. After a Bachelor Language- and Cultural Studies, she got her Master degree in Film- and Television Science at the University of Utrecht. She specialised in video(installation) art. Before joining deBuren, she worked as an intern at SMBA, the project space for contemporary art of Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. |

Carine Middeldorp Carine Middeldorp received her primary and secondary education in countries such as Surinam, the Netherlands, Belgium and South Africa. She studied General Cultural Studies at the University of Amsterdam and researched the Ghanaian art scene to gain her Masters degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. She completed an internship with the department of International Cultural Policy at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked for a communication agency in Amsterdam after which she returned to Belgium and joined the team at deBuren. |

Jenny Quermia She began her career as an administrative assistant at the Royal Belgian Film Archive and then worked for several years for the public broadcaster (at that time BRT) in, amongst others, the arts department. She was then engaged by the newspaper 'Het Nieuwsblad', where she met Aimé Van Hecke, who convinced her to become project manager at the MVP communication bureau. As head of the administrative department of Boek.be, she has for the last few years been responsible for the logistical organisation of De Boekenbeurs. |

Anna Denise van der Reijden Anna Denise van der Reijden obtained her BA in humanities at University College Utrecht and spent six months of her studies abroad in the US. She continued her education with a MA in art history of the Low Countries at the University of Amsterdam and got a second MA in art management and policy at the University of Utrecht. During and after her studies she worked at various productions in the contemporary art scene in Amsterdam and Utrecht. |

Miet Vanhassel Miet Vanhassel studied Germanic languages and literature at the KU Brussels and the KU Leuven. After completing her studies, she worked in secondary education and taught Dutch to foreigners. |

Ann Venneman Ann Venneman studied Art and Sciences and afterwards taught history in grammar school for a few years. While working for the national artists' cooperative, the NICC (New International Cultural Centre), she looked after the interests of its visual artists. Her experience was much appreciated when working on the programme of the major cultural event, 'Mechelen 2005, Stad in Vrouwenhanden', (Mechelen 2005, City in Women's Hands), and she also worked as communication aid for the office of Flemish minister, Bert Anciaux. |
